Brownie in a mug (5 mins prep time)
Perfect for PMS or those pesky midnight cravings for chocolate. Just whip everything together, microwave for a minute, and ta-da! You have a brownie! Thanks to this recipe, I’m pretty sure I’m gonna end up a chunk if this angsty period of unemployment lasts any longer.
Brownie In a Mug
Ingredients:
4 Tablespoons Flour
4 Tablespoons Sugar
2 Tablespoons Cocoa powder (unsweetened)
2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil (Don’t use one with a strong flavor, eg olive, sesame, etc) *you can also substitute w/ butter for a more cakey consistency
2 Tablespoons Water
Dash of salt
Mug
Microwave
Add the sugar, flour, cocoa, and salt to the mug and mix. Then add the oil and water and mix the dry and wet ingredients together. Microwave on high for about a minute. The brownie should still be wet in the center when you’re done.Let it cool before digging in! Some people online recommend eating it with ice cream or adding marshmallows/chocolate chips during the last 15-20 seconds of microwaving.
It is a quick fix, but I don’t suggest it. Quality is the real way to go! I’ll post my favorite recipe for brownies ASAP.
